Digimon Drabble
Bad news: my computer is NOT working at ALL, so not only can I fix my LJ entries and stuff, but I also can't log into my FF.net account. The only thing I can do now is write LJ entries. Not edit or read them or whatever.
Good news: I bring you....dun dun dun, a little short Digimon drabble. It's not a romance one with any pairings whatsoever, more like general-ness. New for me. Let's see if I can do it now, shall we?
Title: Pearls and Fiber
Author: trapped_strife
Category: Digimon 02
Pairing: None
Rating: PG
Warnings: Slight angst, mentions of blood
Author Notes: Starring Hikari, Sora, and raiiiiiiiin. Woah.
She was never a normal girl. She's not normal, because normal girls have big grins on their faces, and long hair, and crushes and blushes, and they spend their lives growing up from being innocent girls to wise, calm women with happy futures. Most of all, normal girls don't know they are normal. But Hikari knows.
She knows who the normal girls are, knows where she fits with them (she doesn't), and most of all, she knows that she is not a normal girl.
Hikari holds soft smiles on her face instead of grins, her hair barely reaches her shoulders, blushes and crushes are not in her vocabulary, and she spent only a month growing from a normal girl to what she is now. She knows she isn't normal.
Hikari is a smart girl, because she knows all of this, and what to do about it. Nothing. Accept it.
Sora is not a normal girl. But Hikari knows Sora doesn't know this.
So Hikari watches Sora, who might not be a normal girl but at least more normal than Hikari is, while Sora watches the rain. People are in awe of the rain, when they take the time to look at it. Because to them, the rain brings them flashes of memories of their childhood innocence, when they'd catch raindrops on their tongue and see things that could be.
When Sora sees the rain, Sora forgets her childhood.
And when Hikari sees Sora smiling at her across in her house, past the rain, Hikari knows that Sora doesn't know.
I'll probably end up posting this on FF.net once my computer has worked out it's kinks or when my Karma is going good. Yep. We'll see. For tomorrrrow is a brand new daaaaay.
Edit: I fixed the lj cut thing. I forgot to put a dash between cut and lj. Stuuuuupid me. And and and my computer is working. A little.
